International show - Cine entre culturas (Cinema between Cultures)

Organized in collaboration with the Mexico City documentary film festival (DocsDF), the program includes the best of international ethnographic cinema. The screenings have taken place in the Sala José Revueltas at the UNAM’s cultural center (CCU) and the Cineteca Nacional, with the participation of leading Mexican anthropologists. In 2009 we paid tribute to Jorge Prelorán (1933-2009) with a retrospective show. Prelorán was an Argentinean filmmaker exiled in the United States since 1976, an emeritus professor of the University of California (UCLA) who sadly died in March 2009. |
